Hi There,
I have rendered out a movie in After Effects as a Quicktime file and the quality is pristine when I playback the .mov file.
However when I Toast it, the quality of the DVD is very poor and looks low res. I have tested the DVD on several different computer screens, and DVD players, TV & plasma screens and the result still looks the same.
Can anyone help? Please!

What is the resolution of the source video? How long is the video? Is it PAL or NTSC?
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I don't know why it would be so poor but I suggest going to Toast's custom encoder settings window (click the More button and you'll find your way there). Move the average bit rate to 8 mbps and the maximum to 9. Turn on Half Pel. See how it looks then.
