converting files AVI files

Could anyone tell me why i cant convert avi files into DVD files, when i try to it just converts them into TOS files that wont play on my dvd player.

No way to tell, since you didn't say how you tried to convert the files.

I tried to convert them through roxio copy and convert.

If you are using Video Copy and Convert (Copy and Convert DVD-video), click on the Video Compilation tab, click on the Add Movies button, browse to your .avi file, select it, then make sure that you have a DVD in your drive, and on the right side of the screen, the format should read DVD, and there should be a dot in the circle to the left of Disc/Disc Image.

Click on the Options button, and select whatever you want, then click on the Burn button, and put a check in the box by your burner.

done all that it just converts files to Video TS files

Well you have to Set the Output you want and that appears to be the important part you keep skipping.

That's what it is supposed to do, if you want a DVD that plays in your DVD player.
