That drive does not burn DVD, it can only read them: ROM=Read Only Memory

That is a ROM drive - Read Only, according to this info on specifications:
http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Sp...ArticleId=13542

To burn a DVD, you need a DVD burner, not just a reader. That won't even burn a CD.

I think that the Nero InfoTool is in error, or the Write info above is wrong. It says that it will write to CD-R/RW discs. The InfoTool shows it not being able to burn to anything.

I don't see where it shows that its able to write anything - it only shows that it can read CD-R/RW and DVD +-R/+-RW

In Lynn's link, under Specifications, it shows being able to write to CD-R/RW.

Missed that part blink.gif I would think that the CD-write is propably correct and the Nero Info Tool is wrong. No matter which is wrong, it deginitely will not write to DVDs rolleyes.gif
