Hello Everyone! My question is: Can I transfer an unfinished videowave production from my pc to my laptop and finish creating it there? I have Roxio Creator 2009 installed on both. If so, can I then transfer it back to my pc when finished to burn a dvd? Thanks for any help you can give.

It should be doable. You need to copy the dmsm and dat files. As well, the path of the sources (pictures, videos, audios) from the desktop must be recreated in your laptop as the production will look for them in that path. However, if you decide to put the sources in different folder(s) in your laptop, VW will show question marks on those images/videos if you open the production. However, VW will offer options for you to find those sources.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't want to be annoying, but how do I copy the dmsm and dat files? I understand what you are saying about the the pictures, videos and audios. I think I can handle that much of it, I'm just not sure about the other part.

The dmsm is the VW production file. You mentioned you have an existing unfinished Videowave production. That file contains all information regarding the file names and locations of all your image/video/audio sources that are included in your production, and all editing instructions. Copy that file to a folder in your laptop where you want to save it. Then double click it to launch it via VW.
Do you know the folder name in your desktop where you saved your VW production? You usually designate where that file gets saved after doing File|Save or File|Save As in Videowave.

I think I understand what you are saying. Yes, I can find the file. Can I transfer it from my pc to my laptop with a flashdrive?

Yes, it's a data file like your source files.
