Hello-

I have Roxio Easy Media Creator 9. I am trying to burn a DVD that is now on a DVD-R disc and only have DVD+R discs to burn to. The burning process works fine until it asks me to insert a DVD-R disc (if I insert a DVD +R disc it just asks me to insert a DVD-R disc). If I am burning from a DVD+R disc to a DVD+R disc it works fine.  I am not sure if this a bug or just how the technology works and I have to go out and buy new discs.

Thanks!

In video copy and convert Disc Copier save the DVD-R disc as a image file on your hard drive. Then use video copy and convert Disc Copier to burn that image file to your DVD+R disc...

Thanks, but it still won't let me burn onto a DVD+R. I had to save it as a .gi file because it wouldn't let me save it as an .iso, I'm not sure if that makes a difference... it still asks for a DVD-R, am I missing a step?

A retail bought burner or one that came with your PC? Is the firmware up to date?

Same question your Easy Media Creator 9, a retail bought version or one that came with your PC?

You could try this small free application. It will make a ISO Image file and burn that to disc without caring what type of disc you have loaded.

Brand new - with a program that's at least FOUR versions behind the current one?
