I SUCCESSFULLY BURNED OPERA THAT USES MP4 FORMAT ONTO DVD-RW USING ROXIO 2010 SOFTWARE. THE LATTER WILL PLAY ON COMPUTER, BUT WILL NOT PLAY ON TOSHIBA DVD VIDEO PLAYER.
WHAT FORMATTING IS NECESSARY TO ENABLE DVD-RW TO PLAY ON DVD VIDEO PLAYER?

You just can't copy a video file to a DVD and have it play. The disc needs to have all kinds of other "things" on it along with the video files. You must do some reading. This is a good place to start and this is for an older version of the software.

Also make sure that your player will play a + or- RW disc; some won't

Unless you have a visual problem, turn off the caps; it is considered shouting.
