My computer came preinstalled with EMC 10 and CyberLink.  I installed Creator 2010 and ran into a problem with burning DVDs.  In an attempt to resolve that problem, I first uninstalled CyberLink to avoid it from causing a possible conflict with Roxio.  CyberLink does what Roxio does (but Roxio is better). I then did a clean install of ECM 10 and Creator 2010. I searched the hard drive for "roxio" and deleted everything I found. I then tried to reinstall 2010. And now I have a new problem.

Creator 2010 will not install.

The installation process completes, although it finishes a little quicker than I might expect. A "Roxio" folder appears in the Start Menu, and the only thing in that is PhotoShow folder and in that is PhotoShow Express. That's it. On the hard drive in Program files (x86) is a Roxio folder, and in that are two folders; BackOn Track and PhotoShow, with stuff in each.  The CinemaNow Media Manager icon is on my Desktop, and it launches CinemaNow.

Anyone have any suggestions for why 2010 is not installing?  My computer is only a few months old.  All drivers are up to date.  Vista Ultimate operating system with SP2.

My guess is the apps were skipped during installation. Probably because the registry keys are still on your machine.

Uninstall from Control Panel and check that these registry items have been removed. If they haven't then you can delete them. These are specific to the Pro version of 2010

I would suggest that you Search for these using Copy and Paste so that you do not get a false Hit from a typo. That could lead you to deleting a Key that you need  laugh.gif

I would also print out that rather lengthy list to make sure you don’t miss one or skip one!

Lastly, not all may be present, so don’t give up because you hit one or 2 that don’t exist…

Let us know how this works out for you???
