I have 2 problems. The first is when playing an LP with say 7+ tracvks, I finish up with a lot more tracks to download to the pc. The second is that quite often when I play back the tracks from the pc, the music speeds up. Can anybody help, please.

Turn off the automatic track detection. You music must have some "gaps" or "Pauses" or quiet places. You can capture and then do the track detection manually.

Update the drivers for your audio device. Since you didn't provide us with the information, we can help you find the drivers but start with the computer manufacturer's web site for "Drivers and Downloads". If you are using XP, turn down the audio acceleration via Windows Start Run, dxdiag etc..
