I wanted to try out the new ripping a scene feature of popcorn4 , sometimes it shows in the window fine but other times it will show a black screen with audio , its a non protected normal dvd , the rip will work its just annoying not to see what areas I am selecting.... I normally use Cinematize to do this function. Maybe I am doing something wrong.....
I go to the convert section , click video files , drag the dvd into the right area , the player/editor opens up. I hit play and it shows the dvd and audio video, if I grab something with the + and then add it shows up in the area but if I go back or start over the player editor part will then have a blank/black screen but the audio is fine..... quitting popcorn and reloading does not fix it , quitting popcorn and ejecting the disc will not fix it.
If I select something it will rip it.... again its not a protected dvd just a normal one that cinematize has no trouble with....
There did not seem to be any good documentation on the exact procedure to pull wanted scenes from a disc .
Using Leopard 10.5.7 , quicktime 7.6 , PopCorn 4 .
dvd plays back a blackscreen

Use the Media Browser to access the different titles on the DVD. Drag the title you want to the Popcorn window with Video Files selected as the format. Does the video appear correctly now in the clip window? Also check that you have Popcorn 4.0.1.

Upgrade to 4.0.1, this is fixed.
