We have been having a problem with the slide show. We have a old DVR and it is not showing the slide show. The one DRV shows the first picture and the other DVR won't read the the disc so we
don't know whether the DVR's are too old or not using the software correctly. Any suggestions?

What slideshow? You have not given any information on where that slideshow came from, how it was created, etc

A good test would be to se if it plays on your computer. A good free program that should work is VLC player.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
