I AM TRYING TO MAKE A COMPILATION DVD OF NEWS BROADCASTS THAT ARE IN THE MPG FORMAT.  HOWEVER, WHEN I BROUGHT IN MY FIRST VIDEO CLIPS FROM MY HARD DRIVE TO THE NEW PRODUCTION IT CONVERTED IT TO THE .DSDM EXTENSION WHICH CAN ONLY BE USED WITH ROXIO SOFTWARE.

HOW DO I STOP ROXIO FROM CONVERTING TO THE .DSDM EXTENSION AND LEAVE IT IN ITS ORIGINAL MPG FORMAT??

THANK YOU FOR ANY ASSISTANCE

If all you have are mpg2 files and you do not need to edit them, just open MyDVD, select if you want a DVD with menus or no menus and add the files to the page.  Then burn.  One hours of time on a single layer DVD, 2 on a DL.  If you have more than that you can get almost 2 hrs on a single layer with a slight reduction in quality.  Do a search for creating an iso file and then copy that to the disc.  the program will make the adjustments to get it to fit.

If the files are in mpg2 DVD compliant format, there will be no rendering of the files that are in the project.
The DSDM is a file of instructions to the program on what to use in a project or production.  The original file is never changed.

PS, All caps are bad form (equivalent to yelling) unless you have an eyesight problem and then you should post that as an apology.
