If you have Creator 2009, then you didn't need Easy VHS to DVD.  You could have purchased the USB device separately and saved yourself some money.

Creator 2009 is more robust than Easy VHS to DVD.  Keep the Creator 2009, and don't install the Easy VHS to DVD.  Creator 2009 works well with the USB device.

I bought it because after I bought Roxio 2009 they keep sending me advertisements to buy this and that, this time I bought Easy VHS to DVD. Why would they do that to me???

I put the easy vhs to dvd device in but creator 2009 didn't recognize it, said I needed to add the software for the driver. So I let it search it didn't find it  so I added the software dvd, it removed my creator  2009. Now I have the stripped down version. Can I now reinstall the creator 2009 or will I get stuck in a Catch 22 situation?

Thanks for the assistance,
Bill in Las Vegas

and yes PT Barnum was right....

It is hard to walk when you keep shooting yourself in the foot  biggrin.gif  laugh.gif  biggrin.gif

Uninstall V2D and install 2009.

The Drivers will stick to the system so don’t worry about that.

IF by chance they don’t… download and run This file.

I am not sure if I can post this here or somewhere else but, I did my Video Capture to 4 files.

Now in Roxio VideoWave I have 4 avi files that I have been able to figure out how to set the Start and End positions OK and  I have saved all the files as DMSM files.

My question is how do I cut areas out of these that are out of focus.

Thanks for all you answers, I've got further than I have in 5 years.

Look at some of the videos in this link

Those dmsm files are not video files but Videowave project files. They just contain a list of your project source files, editing instructions, what transitions you are using , etc. They contain no video at all.
