I recently bought a new 22" monitor and I am trying to watch a film, but the annoying playback control panel is visible throughout, how do I hide it?

It goes away by itself, if you are in full screen.  Put the cursor, in the middle of the screen, and keep your hands off of the mouse!  The play controls will fade away in a few seconds.

Unfortunately it doesn't hide from screen. I waited for 20 seconds, didn't touch anything and it still remained visible in fullscreen mode

How are you getting to “full screen playback”???

Are you using the window control in the Upper right or the little arrow in the lower right? after some checking I find out it makes no difference laugh.gif
