Large file transfer and 97% transfer

1. I am doing some video editing on my laptop (Widows XP). I'd captured videos from handycam to my PC disk I tried to move some Avi files (12-14GB) to an external hard drive that still has over than 100GB space available. It said "The file is too large for the destination file system." What do I do?
2. While finishing the capture, the finishing stops at 97% for un known error? what is it?

First of all, can you tell us what software you are using. It certainly is not "Venue and Qflix" in which forum you posted. Once you let us know, your post will be moved to the correct forum. You have not supplied any information at all other then you are trying to capture.

How is your 100GB hard drive configured? I sit FAt32 or NTFS? If FAT32 then you will have to convert to NTFS since FAT32 allows only files 4GB or less.
