After burning my slideshow, certain photographs are appearing as black screens during disc playback.  I went in deleted photos and then readded them but the same thing is happening.  I can see during the encoding preview process that there are missing (black screen) photos.  After the second time I burned my slideshow I have even more black screen photos on my project.  HELP...I'm ready to throw Roxio in the trash.

It's a hardware issue.

First, update the drivers for your video card, and try again.  If it doesn't work, then click on Tools/Options, and click to the left of Software, under Render with.

Burn again.

You have not supplied any information on how you are creating your slideshow. Are you using Videowave to create the slideshow and myDVD to authour/burn to DVD? Are you using the Slideshow Assistant? Are you using transitions? What are you system specs, especially video card?

Have you tried switching to software render (Tools/Options) if currently set to hardware? Does the slideshow play properly druing preview?

I also have the same problem of certain photos not being burnt.

I have created a dvd with Videowave and burnt with Mydvd express . It is 33minutes long and uses photos and videos. The production uses overlays, text, audio and transitions. The production previews OK in Videowave. But when burning certain phtos are just black in the preview frame and burnt to disc as such.

I have implemented all of the suggestions on this thread and more ie :-

Updated all drivers
Burnt with software and hardware rendering
Cleared the startup tray before burning
Done a complete software reload
Tried saving to a disc image instead of burning to disc

but to no avail.

Any ideas?
