Hi everyone,
I just downloaded this software this week and have a question that I can't figure out. I am making a series of DVDs from my family's old 8mm film and VHS tapes and am organizing them chronologically. In addition, I have some audio recordings of my sister as a baby (before video cameras were in every household) and other audio only. I would like to make these a part of one of my DVDs. What I'd like to do is have Chapter 1 and 2 be video chapters (each from a VHS or 8mm recording) then I'd like Chapter 3 to be a series of photos with the audio track playing throughout. My thought is that it will be more visually interesting to have the photos on screen while the old audio plays. Then, I want Tracks 4+ to be the various video content.
I am comfortable handling the video aspects and I can create a slideshow of the photos with the audio. What I can't figure out how to do is to get the video and the slideshow as distinct chapters. So far, it seems that when I set the audio to play in the background, it plays over the video as well as the photo slideshow.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to accomplish my goal?
THANKS!!

Each of your so-called chapters are called Titles in video terminology and can be considered a separate movie. Use Videowave to create each movie by itself and save it as a Videowave project files (it will have the extension dmsm). After you have created each Title movie, launch myDVD, select a menu style and then add each movie title (the dmsm files) in the sequence you want. Each movie will become a Title on the main menu page.

Don't confuse the terminology. Chapters is a point WITHIN a movie the viewer can jump to using the Skip button on the DVD player's remote. Key point here being a single movie. Assuming you are using Videowave and you are creating a single project that includes all of the above, it kind of sounds like you just need to move the audio on the timeline so it under the slideshow. But we need more info. Thanks
