I have created a project in VideoWave that I have ben trying to burn to a DVD.  In VW I selected the option to output the file as an MPEG-2 for DVD playback.  Once the MPG file was created I used copy and convert to burn it to a DVD and it did but the quality of the video is very poor.  What am I doing wrong?

Well something wasn’t done right… But the answer is in all the details you left out.

Quality starts with the Source file. If it isn’t in there, it never will be.

The quality you set for Output, in this case has an effect too.

And the quality you choose in when burning. (not an option in VCC)

Length of project is a factor too! You can take 4 hours of HD video and it will look like the worse VHS tape if you put it on a DVD! ohmy.gif

There are some things to look into… Still stumped? That is also a list of the info we will need to work through this.

Hi- don't know if this will help you, as I am actually in here with a problem of my own, but there is a small button at the bottom right side of the dvd converter that has you choose the quality of the dvd output. you can either "fit to disc", or choose from a few other quality levels, (including HQ- fit to disc is the default setting). I only know this because I have gone through at least 9 shades of hell with my own problem- hope it helps yours! smile.gif

Your description applies only if you are burning to a DVD. The OP is using "Export As" in Videowave to export the video to a video file. Perhaps you should also use Export As to output to a file before trying to burn.
