Recently upgraded from Roxio Creator 2009 to Roxio Creator 2010. No hardware changes. The "Copy and Convert" application now hangs at 99% complete when copying a DVD. It seems unable to close the session. I've discovered a work-around. If I run the application using "Run as an Administrator" in MS Vista then the burn will complete.
Anyone know why I can't copy the DVD using a "Standard User" account? Thanks.

Try following
1. Temporarily turn off UAC
2. Create a new standard user account and test VCC again.

Thanks for the reply. Your suggestion makes sense. I'll try it in the next few days and let everyone know the results.

Back again with an update:
1. Last week, I did a clean install of Windows 7.
2. I then installed Roxio Creator 2010.
3. I then updated to Roxio SP1.
I can now successfully video copy and convert a DVD as a standard user. The process no longer hangs at 99%. I suspect that it was SP1 that fixed my problem.
Thanks to all.

Or…
It could have been the clean install of Win7???
Or the clean install of 2010 after that???
But maybe it was SP1 for 2010???
Not making fun of you, just got a chuckle out the post.

No offense taken. I wondered if anyone would notice the unscientific/unproven (unsupported !!) nature of my conclusion. Regards.
