I have been having nothing but problems with Roxio Creator 2009 even after adding SP1- never had issues with earlier versions - few components complete their task. I even tried to uninstall the thing and got an error doing that- and after a reboot and another attempt to uninstall it couldn't find a 'certificate file'. I tried it on another computer and it still had numerous problems. Personally I will not use the product and have serious doubts about the future. In the meantime is there a program to remove the thing or is there a mehtod to manually remove the program from a computer?

If all you want to do is remove it from your pc, use the Clean Install process for the OS you are using. Just complete all steps up to the point of re-installing:

Creator 2009

Why didn't you install SP4, for the software?

It sounds like you have a number of issues with your computer. Did you forget to disable your antivirus, prior to installing the software?
Life is good!
