Hi Folks,

I had a major virus infection that required me to a full repair of Windows XP after repairing the infected areas.  I was able to do that without having to reinstall the applications.  Subsequently, the only feature in the Creator 9 Suite that no longer works is the Make Movie option of VideoWave9.  After you select the option and click the start button, the status window appears but no progress occurs.  Task manager shows VideoWave is processing something, but nothing happens.  When the cancel button is clicked on the status window, that's when the program freezes.  The remaining functionality works fine.  I have been able to build projects with hundreds of storyboards and various embedded music and effects without issue.  It's only when I try to create the AVI file that I run into a problem.  And, this has only been an issue since the operating system rebuild, as I could create AVI files up to about a month ago.

I performed the full manual uninstall following the Roxio procedure prior to reinstalling.  I tried running the program with Norton Internet Security 2009 disabled.  I have not yet tried to update the video driver, even though the program worked perfectly before.  I also have not applied the 9.1 SP3 patch since I do not have any .Net issues, but I have it downloaded to try if it comes to that.

I'm running on a Dell Precision 690 with 3GHz CPU and 3GB of RAM; Windows XP SP3; NVidia Quadro NVS 285 with 256MB.  If anyone has any insight as to how to rectify this, I would be grateful.  Thanks.

bb

Do you actually have Creator 2009 or do you really have Easy Media Creator 2009 9? (the ‘answer’ depends on which one you have)

I think that Jim meant Easy Media Creator 9, not Easy Media Creator 2009.  There is no Easy Media Creator 2009, but there is a Creator 2009.  Confusing, isn't it?

Got it.

I have Easy Media Creator 9.  I did try the full clean install based upon the directions in the first link, of which I was directed to by another source.  I will try the second link later today and advise.  Thanks.
