I bought a brand new HP laptop and the first program I tried to install with a fresh computher with windows 7 on it was Roxio creator 9 and it seemed to install but when I tried opening the program it stated there were compatiblility issues and could not start. There was no solution that windows could find to fix this problem. This program runs fine on Windows Vista and XP 32 bit but not the 64 bit Windows 7 and I checked on their website and it says it is compatible. Something is definitely wrong because it does not work on a brand new computer with a fresh install. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I had to purchase the new Creator 10 in order to have a program that worked, but I just purchased Creator 9 this year, there really should be a patch or something to fix this problem and I am really suprised no one else has had this problem.
Roxio 9 will not run on new windows 7 64 bit

What software do you really have? Roxio Creator 9 (aka EMC 9) is 3 years old, Creator 10 (aka EMC 10) is 2 years old. The latest version is Roxio Creator 2009. Please use the correct names when referring to the program suites to avoid a lot of confusion.

Have you installed the upDATES to EMC 9 (if that is what you have)? Click on the Support Tab at the top of this page and then select software updates. Select EMC 9 and then the version you have.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

My guess is, Joe has both Creator 2009 and Creator 2010, but with the lack of punctuation, and the lack of using proper names, for the software, it's really hard to tell.
Life is good!
