Check for updated drivers for you video card. Go to the manufacturer's website, not Windows Update.

Also check connections… Try the same cords between your camcorder and your TV to see if the Audio is passed OK.
Then try some other Source (DVD or VCR Player) to test the input/capture into the PC.

The VCR works fine when transferred to the computer but the analog camcorder is still producing some choppiness in the audio. Should I play with the connections then betwee the camcorder and computer?

VCR would be good, you could record and then use that recording. (it degrades quality a little, but worth a look).

The camcorder works completely fine when it is connected to the tv. It seems to be just when the camcorder is connected to the computer that the audio is choppy. I will try the camcorder to the VCR then to the computer.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Another variation to the VCR test is to feed the Camcorder to the VCR IN and connect the VCR OUT to the Roxio Device… uses the VCR as a passthrough.
Just to make sure we are thinking the same way… You are not capturing from your camcorder with a Firewire are you???

I don't know what a Firewire is so the answer is likely, no I am not. However I am having all kinds of problems with the Easy VHS to DVD. I have connected the VCR to the computer and tried to transfer that way hoping for a better audio quality than the direct analog camcorder to computer route I tried earlier. However Easy VHS to DVD didn't seem to acknowledge any video coming in with the VCR at all. And then it didn't acknowledge the camcorder when I plugged it back in. And now I can't even open the whole program! The system is "encountering a problem and has to close." I removed the program and then re-loaded it. Stiil the same problem.
Oh....my .......God!
Do I have to send this whole thing back to Roxio?

I doubt it, the problem is most likely your PC…
You could sure try the Clean Install:
Vista/Win7
XP

No need to, by the way, the device will work in EMC 6 very nicely…
Once you have V2D running you will not have any use for the DVD Builder. The Creator Classic may be of use but little else.

The Clean Install looks like a huge deal. Wow! Kinda scares me to be frank. Also it says "◦Select Roxio Creator 2009, DirectXServiceInstall, and any entry that starts with Roxio, Sonic, EMC, or SmartSound.
◦Click on Remove"
But does this remove Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator 6 ? In a later post you said to keep it. By the way, is "EMC 6" the same as Creator 6?

I don't know if it will remove V6 but that is irrelevant.
This is what will fix your problem and if you have to reinstall V6, do so.
The Clean Install covers Creator 2009, 2010 as well as V2D. Some things you will have, some you will not.

It's only relevant inasmuch as I have been using V6 a fair bit and have many music playlists which may dissapear with a Clean Install. And I don't have the install disc anymore for V6. Anywho I guess that's my problem.
Thanks for your suggestions and keep tuned in because I may need some further assistance!
