When I click the Burn button in MyDVD, the Burn dialog box comes up with the encoding video preview and starts encoding the movie. If I lock the computer and log back in, the encoding resets to 0% and starts all over again. Is this a known issue?

I tried using both Hardware and Software as the encoding mechanism in the "Tools | Options" menu. I have selected "Burn to disk" (to an ISO image) only and am not trying to write to DVD at this point. I am using Windows 7 64 bit OS with 8Gb of RAM.

I tested that on my Win7 PC and got the same result.

It should not happen, I will see it gets reported!
