Blue Screen instead of burning

I am operating Vista and have 2 burners one of which is Blu-ray.
Both are operating fine.
I have Roxio Creator Premium Blu-ray 10.2 software and a problem has developed where I am creating a DVD from an avi. The avi is converted and when the program should commence burning to the disk I get a blue screen and the computer literally re-boots.
I have no idea if this is a Roxio software issue or a computer issue
Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

That is a modified OEM that you got from Dell, correct??? When did you get it?

We have never seen it, so you will have to help out.

If from MyDVD you burn to a File (iso), do you have the ability to burn that ISO to disc?

By separating it into 2 separate steps, it helps isolate where the problem is.
