Since the installation of OS 10.6, I have been unable to "combine" an external srt subtitles file with a source avi file using Toast (9 or 10) and Perian as previously described here:

This merging of avi and srt still functions as previously when exporting from within QT Player 7. It was convenient to be able to do this in one step, and now I have to first re-encode using QT Player 7, and then create a video disc in Toast. Any thoughts?

I have heard that Apple is aware of problems with the Snow Leopard QT and is working on it. No time estimate, but I am hoping it will be in the next release of SL - 10.6.2 - due supposedly this month (November).
