I just installed 2010 pro onto a laptop with Vista Business, 2 GB RAM, 2.4 GHz, Intel duo-core, and I installed the 2010 service pack 1 add on but every time I click on the Copy and Convert icon it will not load. I get a circular motion icon showing that it's trying but then it just stops. Also, when clicking on the Create DVDs icon or the Edit Video-Advanced icons I get the error message "No Permissions to launch application". This is not what I had in mind when I purchased this software. All other features of this software appear to be working fine (Burn Data Disc, Burn Disc Image, Copy Disc, Burn Audio CDs). Thoughts?
Video Copy & Convert will not load

It didn’t install right…
Let’s try the easy way first:
Uninstall it.
Create a new account with full administrator privileges.
Install it using that account and see what happens.

Thanks Jim. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and I am having the same problem. Maybe I'm missing something here. When you say to create a new account with full administrator privileges, what exactly are you referring to? When I install this it just takes me through from the beginning but I see no place where I am actually creating an account or anything to do with administrator privileges. Either I am making the easy way hard or we need to try something else.

I mean what I wrote. With Vista, create a new account with full admin privileges.
Then install using that account.
With Vista, sometimes it gets a little mixed up about permissions. Look in Help - New Account.

Thanks Jim. I'll give it a try.

Ok, I tried your suggestion and I uninstalled Roxio and it's components and then created a new admin account in Windows Vista and then tried reinstalling Roxio using that account. I'm having the same problem. All of the components work fine except the three I mentioned. I sure hope that there's another way around this. Any ideas?
