not so easy, but it's trying!
I've tried this on my 3 computers and it does not like my vista alien alx, just trying to load the software.
It loads on my other desktop and my alien laptop, but niether will accept the service pack 2 update--"can't find the original roxio program".
But they both will capture and burn! But they both have the issue with my old tapes with the video jumping/gitterring, then capture stops.
Audio works fne.
I connected a composite video camera and it's clean, doesn't jump-jitter-or stop capture.
So my question is: is there any way to capture & burn my old tapes? I know this is my problem, but what am I to do?
HELP!
Thanks,
Jeep

Couple of questions…
Recent program discs already have the SP2 applied, so you get an error message if you attempt it manually. Please check your installed program by looking at Help – About. If you have SP2 it will be in the Version Number near the top:
Jumpy capture from one device pretty well pins it down to an issue with that device… Do you have a newer tape, known to be good you can test the VCR with?
Likewise, if the tape was recorded in LP or SLP, it may not be usable for capture...
Check those things and post back.
