I am trying torun Roxio 2010 on my Dell, with Windows7 x64 bit system.  I also have to change my resolution each time I run roxio.  I keep getting run time errors.  I went to microsoft  site to check for C++ errors for Roxo Videowave12, the instuctions were: go to msconfig and uncheck" common sdk" in startup and go into Services and uncheck" Roxio Media DB12."  I did this and I still have the same problem.

Is there a way I can attach screen prints?

I tried to run Edit Video Advanced, I get runtime error also, with message "abnormal program terminate.

Any one looking for Creator 2010!!

Not sure what you mean about ‘went to site’ and the startup & services message???

I am guessing you are referring to a KB article here...

In any case, Runtime errors mean the program is not installed properly.

Try the Clean Install – Vista

I took out 2010 and did a  clean reinstall and updated with SP1. 11/01/09
I started Roxio Creator 2010 , get error 1402 could not open key.
I select Video/Movies
I select DVD's
This brings up Roxio My DVD
I select project type (DVD)
This brings up Roxio MyDVD-UntitledDVD
I enter title
Click on add new movie
I get"Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library, Runtime error
Message: Program:...rogramFiles(x86)\Roxio2010\Video UI12\VideoWave12.exe.  (This is where my program ends)
I started it again just to make sure my steps were correct and ended up with same problem.

I have a DELL Inspiron, Model i546S, it came with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, it now has Windows 7 Home premium. X64 Bit system.
When I use AVSVideoEditor4.2 and do the same process, there is no problems.  Thanks
