Toast crashes (quits) in the middle of exporting to BD (saving image to disk) some 1080i (aic) videos. This happens only with some videos. I haven't found a common pattern, perhaps it has got to do with the video file size. Problematic is for instance a 15 GB video but not a 1 GB test video. All my videos are similar in that they are from a Canon HF200 video camera and are exported from iMovie 09 using the same settings.

I have tried the following:

- deleted the pref and plist files
- repaired disk permissions

I have iMac 2.66 GHZ, 2 GB RAM and plenty of HD space. Snow Leopard (10.6.1). Toast is 10.0.4.

Anyone else got similar problems?

This is a long shot but I'd do a comprehensive test of my RAM to make sure that isn't the source of the crash. Google for Memtest and use that. Other RAM test utilities can miss what Memtest finds.

Your Mac is a bit weak on RAM to be doing this kind of work.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Toast 10.0.4 is also crashing on me while saving to disk image and buring disks.

Which OS are you running? Have you tested to see if an earlier version of Toast 10 is having the same problem?
