Sorry - typo - START, All programs, menu

It looked like your link all the way down through the restart windows
I have the two items in add/remove programs screen
I have the two items on the device managers screen
I also have the driver info like your screen shots for both drivers.

OK.....I am having the same FRUSTRATING problem. I tried installing several times today. With all the recommendations...including turning off the virus protection and shields. I also have the correct drivers. Somehow all i have is the ROXIO in red for a few seconds. BUMMER blink.gif

And???

I guess you mean the program is installed and didn’t start?

Did you download and apply the SP2 fix for the program? (pinned post at the top)

Well...let me start again. I am not very computer literate (sorry). I have a new computer with 64 bit, Vista with all the latest updates. I tried installing the program, and wondered during the installation process because the cd drive hummed alot and the installation bar (the green bar) didn't seem to move. I left the room for a while and when I came back, the final screen shot with the installation success came up.

I thought this was weird, because the program did not ask to restart the computer.

I double clicked on the desk top icon and a red box with roxio came up on my computer but disappeared after a few seconds.

I registered my software and submitted an email request for support and read the discussion groups. I then tried to install the patch service pack but it came up with an error that the roxio was not installed. So i re-installed the program and tried the sp2 fix again. and again the fix gave an error that roxio was not installed.

any more suggestions?

oh i looked and the dirvers are there. also, their is a folder for roxio.

help....

I just suggest doing a clean install before making another attempt of installation. Once done, try copying the contents of the disc to say folder on desktop and then try installing from there.
