mad.gif Need some help with an issue related to the burning process. While in the process of capturing the video to DVD, somewhere between 6-15 minutes into it a popup screen appears with the message "unknown capture error. This aborts the capturing. Further the following appears....80004005 error while encoding menu"...this happens whether the VHS contains info from a recording from the TV or a store bought VHS.
Don't know how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated.
Thx Jc

Try forgetting about the Plug and Burn, and capture to your hard drive, first. Then, burn your captured video to a regular DVD, if the captured video isn't over an hour long.

Burn to a DL disc, if the video is over an hour in length.
