When I try to create an ISO image from a DVD that I burned with Microsoft DVD Maker, I get the error message "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. (0x8007045D)". Copy and Convert is able to preview all of the video in the first screen. This indicates that the DVD and the DVD drive are OK. How can I create an ISO image?

I am using Windows 7 64-bit on a HP Compaq dc7900 machine with 8GB RAM.

So far, I am very disappointed and frustrated with Creater 2010. I bought it because it claims to support Windows 7, but basic features don't work.

You might want to try copying the files to a folder, on your computer, first.  Then try to burn to an .iso file, from the files on your computer.

The DVD has a folder called VIDEO_TS, and there are a number of files in there including VOB files. I can see these in Explorer, but trying to copy the VIDEO_TS folder from Explorer took forever. So it does seem to be an issue with the DVD media or drive.
Thanks

If you were able to copy the files, from the DVD, to your hard drive, then the files may be good.  It will take awhile to copy them too, if that disc is full.

Now, try to make an .iso file.
