I'm using EMC10 and have just ordered a new 64-bit, Windows 7 computer. I'm also ready to move up to Creator 2010 Pro. What compatiblity issues might I expect, e.g., will I be able to migrate my partially completed projects in EMC10 to the new computer and continue on with them in Creator 2010 Pro?

Would be a good idea to finish any projects in EMC 10 and start fresh with Creator 2010. Not sure about the Videowave/MyDVD project files, but some users have posted they can't open Label Creator files.

In general most project files from previous versions are not compatible with the newest Roxio versions. As Gary posted, its best to finish off any project in the version you started with

Sort of guessed that. I'm on long range project so it'll be awhile before I make the upgrade. Thanks.

And for what its worth, you can have both programs installed on the same pc -- Walt suggested that to me, and he was right.

I'd like to do that but when I tried that a couple of EMC generations ago I got a message stating that I had to uninstall the existing program before I could install the new one. I have a couple of other questions, also, that aren't appropo this board. Would you be willing to PM on this?

As you said, a couple generations ago, you indeed could not install a later version with the older one still on the computer. Creator 2010 is not like that and will install fine without uninstalling the previous version.
