Every time i try to use this program, it locks up and I get the message
"VideoConvert has stopped working
A problem caused ...."
It happens immediately after selecting the video file that I want to convert

You want to test that the file is OK, by using VideoWave to try the conversion with.
If that works, it would probably require the Clean Install to fix it.

I'm trying to convert some videos to transfer to my iPod. I get the "videoconvert has stopped working"...
I've I can successfully open the files in VideoWave, but the only format I can export into is DMSM.
Any helpful thoughts? I'm running an HP computer with Vista.

You can only save the file as .DMSM. You don't want to save, you want to output it to a file that can be used with the iPod. Click on the Output button at the top left of your VideoWave screen.
