I have Windows 7 professional installed on two computers.  I'm trying to install Roxio Creator 2010 on these computers and not having a lot of luck.  EAch and every time the program stalls at the point where it says Status:  Installing Microsoft.net v3.5 SP1.  It will sit there for hours (overnight on one attempt).

I'm fairly computer literate but this one leaves me hanging so to speak.  I thought I would try a work around and install .net v3.5 SP1 and THEN attempt Roxio.  .net v3.5 is already installed.  Everything I read tells me that the SP1 is not compatible with Windows 7.  The SP1 fails consistently to install on these computers also.

So, that's where I'm stuck.  Any help would be appreciated as I've installed dozens of other programs on these two computers with out a single glitch and now this.

What you “heard” is completely wrong…

Try the Clean Install – Vista/Win7

Of course the EULA states One License = One PC.

What I "heard" is actually what I "read" on the microsoft side regarding the net sp1 install which is:
Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista; Windows XP.  I do not see Windows 7 on that list, do you?

It was a clean install - this was only the second program attempted to be installed on this computer AFTER a clean install of Windows 7 professional.  I did all the other crap in your url to no avail.  I cannot get past the point where Roxio tries to install netframe.

Thanks for that tidbit - I really, really needed that a license cop.  If it doesn't go on ONE computer I thought I would try another of a different brand, that one of course also having just had a clean install of Windows 7.  Do you have any USEFUL advice?

Edited, so the retorts aren't within the quote(s).

Not that it will help you, nor do I care if it does, but Jim was referring to going through the motions of the clean install of the Roxio software, even if yours was an attempt at installing the software, for the first time

.NET 3.5 SP1 is included as part of Win7 and should be skipped during installation. Send me your installation log files so I can see what is going on.
