Have you tried changing the extension of the file to .mp4?
Sometimes audio is recorded in mono and doesn't do well in Videowave. Maybe read here?

Latest version of quicktime loaded last night, still nothing on the native audio timeline. Should it be showing some sort of oscilliscope type representation of the sound? It's just a "line"
Dumb question, but do you have to load the native audio, or does it "come with" the video when you add video.
Changing it to a .MP4 appears to really degrade the quality of the video. was HD but looks very "pixelated" when changed, basically looks horrible. not a solution..
usually with something like this software wise there is some setting that is off. (AKA pilot error) as obviously it works for others. so hopefully someone knows the answer.
Thanks for the help !

OK so just to be super specific, do I need quicktime Pro, or just the latest free version off the web. I did a test with other sources last night my regular video camera makes .avi files and they sound fine.... So Im thinking I need to pop $$ for the quicktime pro...
opinions??
Thanks Again !

Will Do. Thanks for the help. Just to try it out I bought quicktime pro, and converted to .avi files, seems to work ok. Any advice on which format will retain the best video quality would be appreciated just in case I can't get it to work..
Thanks!

I did a complete re-install last night, still not working. At this point I'd have to say I'm just plain frustrated...

In my case, the failure was with a .mov audio-format that was somewhat unusual (but would play in QT) and could not be used in CleanerXL (and most other editing/transcoding packages I tried at the time.) The solution for me was to (and I needed QuickTime Pro to do this) export the file with a more customary QT audio-format and then all was well.
Its been too long for me to still recall what the specific offending audio-format was, or for that matter what the proper default format should have been, but the details seem remarkably similar to your current situation anyway.

I encountered the same problem and came up with this solution after much trial and error.
Step 1 - open the desired video clip in Quick Time
Step 2 - select Export and "Options" - Keep Video Options Unchanged - Change Audio to AAC Formate and check off "Show Advanced Settings" box
Advanced Settings for Quality set to "Best", Encoding Strategy Set to "Constant Bit Rate" and Target Bit Rate to "Recommended".
Step 3 - give the file a distinctive name and save it in a location where you can later find it to place in Video Wave (or whatever function desired).
Hope this helps.

An original HD .mov, H.264, video has about 60 frames per second at 48 kHz and around 3.11 mbits/sec. This HD format when used in Creator 2010 experiences problems such as no audio or choppy video.
Take the same HD .mov video, open it in Quick Time Pro and export it as an mp4, H.264 video with 30 frames per second at 44.1 kHz and 394.40 kbits/sec and Creator 2010 will use the video to create a DVD or other format video without any problems.
It looks like Creator 2010 will accept an H.264 video as an input, but only if it's not high definition. If you don't have Quick Time Pro and you're not pleased about spending another $30.00 for it, try setting your HD video camera to standard rather than HD.
