YES, if the cassette player has a speaker out port. I have used my Cassette player several times to capture audio from some of my old cassette tapes. I just plug an audio cable from the cassette player to the audio cable supplied with the VHS2DVD program and then go from there as you would with any other hardware you use VHS2DVD to capture audio and video.

Also, if you have Roxio Creator 2010 Pro, you can also use it in a similar manner to capture audio from your cassette tapes. Plug the audio cable from the cassette player to the "line-In" port on your sound card and then in C2010 Pro, click on the "Music/Audio" box on the left and then on the next screen click on "Capture Audio from Sound Card".

This is in the MAC area and while I do not have one, I do not see anything in the VHS to DVD for MAC info indicating it has this capability???

Would someone with the MAC version please chime in and confirm Audio Capture only?

The Mac version does not have the audio-only capture option.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Totally my mistake Jim !!  blink.gif  I could have sworn that this post was in another forum when I replied to the post and not in the Mac forum area. So my apologies to the OP. I don't have a Mac either, so I would not take my first paragraph as gospil. Although I would think that if my VHS2DVD would do it, the Mac would also.

At least my second paragraph has some validity  laugh.gif
