Hi just bought Popcorn 4 .My External Firewire OWC DVD/CD burner won't acknowledge. It shows up on my system name serial number etc.I downloaded Patch Burn, It won't work on Snow Leopard. That's what my Mac store said to try.I have searched for drivers to no avail. Yes it will burn on my internal DVD but popcorn won't scan to My External DVD burner. I'm going to call Apple Care I guess. Unless we have someone that has had the same problem here. With a magical answer.

Thanks Perry

There's no trick to this. All you should need do is connect the OWC DVD drive, open Popcorn and click the name of the drive at the bottom. Popcorn will scan to the next drive recognized by the Mac OS as connected. If you open System Profiler you should see the drive listed as connected to either USB or Firewire. If it isn't, contact OWC because they are great folks for troubleshooting their hardware.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Are you able to burn with Apple burn using the recorder in question? Also ensure you have all the updates for Snow.
