Is there any way around the lack of WIN7 compatability with Creator 2009?

There seems not to be. sad.gif

You'll have to either go backwards with your Operating system, or forwards to Creator 2010.

I have the Roxio 9 OEM version installed that came with my schleptop and Windows Vista; I then upgraded to Windows 7 and Roxio 9 is still working fine; and it even co-exists with Roxio SE 2009.

Windows 7 comes already with a wealth of recording tools.

Also, with Windows 7 you can also install the so-called XP mode, basically a specific Virtual machine with Windows XP, that allows older programs to be installed in an Windows XP environment but runs within Windows 7 quite transparently. It requires add'l memory, though (i.e., add'l 1 GB RAM on Windows 7 32bit, 2 GB RAM on Windows 7 64bit).

Since I did not do a fresh install of Roxio 9 in Windows 7, what are the problem you are encountering?

Thanks.
Enjoy,
