Copy Audio from mpeg file

how do i copy an audio file used on a mpeg file to place on a slide on my videowave project?

creator 9.
xp widows
Dell dim 4600
nvidia geforce fx5200  256mb

In Media Manager, right click the file and choose 'extract audio'.
