Update depicted I needed Sercice Pack 1 October 2009.  I used the downlaod and install first.   I got the following message and the ionstall stopped .... Can not delete the target file: C:\program files\common\roxio shared\dll shared\cps common tools 12.dll

Then I downloaded and saved the Service Pack.  Made sure no Roxio Program was running.  Tried the install and got the same  message.

Then I checked C:\program files and found cps common tools did not exist.

How do I install Service Pack 1?

Just a quick check. Is your copy of the software eligible for the update?

For existing Creator 2010 users only.

  • Creator 2010 Service Pack 1 does not offer any new features. <LI hasbox="2">You must own a valid copy of the full, retail version of Creator 2010.
  • If you did not purchase a retail copy, this update will not work for any other version of Creator or Easy Media Creator.
  • You must be a registered user to download the Service Pack.

Digital Guru... The copy is registered.
I found the answer .... In my case I had to load SP1 in the Windows Safe Mode.

Ok, good to hear you got it loaded.

Have you launched some programs within the suite yet after installing SP1? Let us know how it goes.
