I reinstalled Creator 2009 however the desktop icon didn't show following what looked like a problem free install. The sub menus show under programs but I can't find a way to get to the Creator main menu without the desktop icon.

Click on Start/All Programs, scroll to Roxio Creator 2009, and you should see Applications, and right below it, a star icon to the left of Roxio Creator 2009. That will get you to the main menu.

If that icon isn't there, then you could try a clean install to get the desktop icon back. Good luck.

I don't have 2009 installed anymore but you could try this.

Open Explorer and go to C:/Program Files/Roxio 2009/Roxio Central 5 and look for RoxioCentralFX.exe.When you find it right click and drag it to the desktop.Let go and then hit Create Shortcut Here. This gives you a shortcut to what you want.

Since I don't have 2009 installed anymore you might have to change that path a bit to find the file.
You could also just do a search of C: on Roxio and when you see that file (or something real similar) just create the shortcut the same way.

Do you wanna hear me beg you to take me back?
I'd gladly do it because....."

Thanks for the reply. The star isn't below applications (it was there after the initial install) at this point. Will try clean install.
