I just installed Roxio 2010 (it didn't remove Roxio 6). I have Win XP. I inserted a DVD and chose to burn onto it. THe drive makes noise, the light lights and Roxio shows a progress happening but when it's done the DVD is blank.

HELP?!

I am wanting this to be a DVD for use on Television.

Oh, the DVD's are TDK 4X

I'm stumped.

PS: I just tested a CD and it worked.

Thanks

Sue

You seem to be asking about an Authored DVD Movie…

Did you use the Authoring program (MyDVD) to make it with? (AKA – Create DVDs)

You must author a DVD Movie, you cannot just slap files on a disc.

Sue,

You mention "after burning an ISO file" in the message header. Were you burning the ISO to a DVD?
If so, would you test your DVD burner. The CD hardware in the burner is separate from the DVD hardware, so it's possible your DVD burner may have broken while the CD part still works.

Please download the free ImgBurn program from HERE and try burning your ISO to your DVD.

Please let us know if that works - doing so will test both the burner, and the integrity of the ISO file.

Thanks for the advice guys. Jim, I authored the movie using Ulead Video Studio 11. I've done this before on my old laptop and it worked fine.

Thanks Brendon. I downloaded the program you recommended. I think you are correct that the DVD burner is the problem. That ImgBurn is great. Darn thing says "OH NO" when it was verifying. I tried burning just a couple of smaller files instead of the iso file. I'd done that with the Roxio product too. I'll call Dell and have a new burner shipped out pronto.

Thanks again.
