when I copy dvd's and play them back it automatically plays with closed captions.I can not shut it off. How do I copy without the closed captions

i made a copy of the batman movie (1989) for my son to use in the car
it plays with captions or sub titles . trid on dvd player same and pc same.
can nor shut it off. how do i copy without

If this "Copy" is from a DVD it is not Legal to do that in the US…
Likewise discussions are not allowed on the Roxio site.
