I have spent 2 days trying to get Roxio VHS to DVD working - don't know where the 'easy'  part is.  The capture button is greyed out so I downloaded the service pack only to be told on trying to run it that I don't have the Roxio software installed - but it is.  Tried trying again from scratch 5 times but still getting same problem
Thought I would try on another computer - that won't even read the disk.
All I want to do is transfer some old home videos to dvd for my Mother for Christmas.  I am computer literate yet this is driving me crazy.  From reading other reviews I think I have totally wasted my hard earned money on the product.
Has anyone else been through the same thing and found a resolution

I have used V2D very successfully, but the quality of the picture when played back is poor. Useing a Scart with audio plugs & s-video fitting.

Don't know why you posted in that other topic, nothing in there relates to 'Quality'???

Quality comes from Source and Output.

Output should always be set to HQ (or no higher than the Source)

Source capture should always be at DV and for you, PAL. – anything less, and you cannot comply with the Output requirements. (the two are kind of tangled wink.gif )

Keep in mind that VHS is a pretty shabby source to start with and you can't make it better.

Quality of media can make a difference but that is kind of stretching it a bit… The result from media, is trouble with the Player trying to read, skipping, etc.

Check settings for Source & Output maybe even slap a quick test together using some good still pics a short clip and RW media…

Let us know how that goes.
