Easy VHS to DVD Media importer

I have just purchased and installed Roxio VHS to DVD on my pc. When i open up the programme and select either Capture video or Plug and burn the programme displays Media importer(Not responding). Thats as far as it gets. I have tried downloading and installing any available updates to try and resolve it,but to no avail.

Ouch!
That indicates the install did not go well…
Read through cdanteek's pinned post at the top here for install.
It will probably take a full Clean Install to clean up the wreckage:
Vista/Win7
