Hi All,

I've been using DVD Copy and Convert 4 for a couple of months now and had no problems. Had to reinstall it and now ave the message 'cannot initalize burning engine. Please reinstall the software.' I've done this but still not working.

(Running Windows XP)

Any help will be much appreciated.

I haven't been able to get a copy of this software to dissect yet, but there's a file which might help it. It certainly won't harm anything if it doesn't work, since your software is dead in the water at the moment.

It's the PX engine installer HERE. Download it, unzip it, and run the exe file. If your software uses the PX engine it should help.

If it doesn't work we may have to devise some sort of "clean install" routine for you.

Thank you for replying. Tried the PX engine but still nothing. Have reinstalled program again but still the same message.

Adriene, can you get the suite going to the point where you get the Home menu going?
If so, can you click on the Help button and select "About this software" ?

I'm thinking there may be remnants of the suite left behind when you uninstall, and they are preventing a proper reinstall. That Help > About routine [if you can reach it] should bring up a display something like this . . .

Don't give your serial number, but I'd like to know version and build numbers if you can. I can then steer you to a "clean install" procedure which should take all the odd fragments out before you reinstall.
