My first video editing software and I'm not able to plug in and capture. Thanks in Advance!
Operating System: Vista
Computer: Recent & has all the specs to handle Camera & Software  (Dell Experion E-series)
Camera: Canon Vixia HF10 (internal hard drive)
Connection: USB II
Prior Software installed: Canon Image Mixer & all the Canon software that came with Camera

Issue: When I plug in with USBII and launch Creator using Capture Video, the only media recognized is the built in webcam. When I open My Computer and try to connect the camera, the only program that will copy or bring in the files from the camera is the Image Mixer.

I have tried: Changing the settings in Control Panel, Video, to Ask Me Everytime. I also tried making Creator the default.
Have you found a fix or run into this problem?

Thank you for your help.

There is no fix required since it is not really a "problem".
There is no need to use capture when "Importing" video from a hard drive camera.
simply use Windows Explorer to copy the video from the camera hard drive to a folder on your PC hard drive.

THen use Videowave or myDVD to Add the video to your project for editing or burning.
