Hi,

I want to be able to produce a DVD real-time so that at the end of my event I have a DVD. The only way I can see that I can do it now is take it to my laptop and then create the DVD. This is too slow as I have to wait for the duration of the event again before I can hand out a DVD copy.

Can this be done in Roxio Creator 2010?

Regards
Julian

NO....

You need one of these.

DVD Camcorder, DVD camcorders have made it possible to record your home movies onto a DVD disc that can be immediately played back in your DVD player.

Technically you can with Plug n Burn, but there is limited support for devices.  I've only used it for testing and not for live recording although 'should' be possible. You have to setup the menu in advance and be aware how much time will be recorded.

Yes it can be done quite easily as long as you have the right equipment and setup. Of course this is only practical if you have a Laptop.
Tell us what you equipment you have such as laptop, camcorder, capture device, etc? Recording direct to DVD presents a big risk though. If something goes wrong while doing the record you will of course lose everything rolleyes.gif

Of course using a camcorder that records direct to DVD is the best way to do this.

CD - Plug n Burn supports the Roxio USB device.

Connect the USB device to computer
Connect camcorder to USB device and turn to RECORD or CAMERA mode for live picture
Run MyDVD and select Plug n Burn

Live video straight to disc.  Should also work with Firewire to camcorder.
