I have Roxio Creator 2009 and am having problems trying to update. Earlier on, I kept getting update prompts, but did not have time to let them run. Now for the last few days I have been trying to let the update run but cant. The Software Manager keeps giving me this message.
Either you are not connected to the Internet or the FLEXnet Connect servers are currently unavailable.
I know I am connected to the internet, so I am assuming that it is this FLEXnet thing. Does anybody know what the deal is? Thanks

Shut down the Firewall and/or antivirus while trying the update

FLEXnet Connect is an update subscription service run by Macrovision. Roxio signs up some of their software [and pays for the service] so that when you click 'check for updates' the service sends you the right updater.

Some software isn't signed up for the service, and sometimes FLEXnet Connect's servers aren't available for the software which is still supported.

I blame it all on Global Warming / Global Cooling / Global Staying the Same [pick one]
